This week hurricane force winds blew through Alberta knocking down trees, whipping up grass fires and blowing over a number of rigs.

This force of nature kept Big Rig Towing on its toes dealing with a number of rollovers.

Fortunately no one was injured in these incidents and here at Big Rig Towing we train for the unexpected and were able to recover these rigs.

Every season spring & fall Big Rig Towing donates there time and trucks to help the firefighters train for some of the most serious parts of their job. Fire fighters and towing companies often join forces at accident scenes where heavy equipment or big rigs are involved with personal automobiles. Often the two services have to work in tandem to lift heavy trailers, cabs or machinery to rescue victims pined underneath.

Big Rig routinely spends these weekends to ensure both their team and the firefighters they work with on scene know how to operate together in case of an emergency.

Call us to find out if we can support your ongoing training.

Sometimes you just gotta be lucky. This rig used up lottery luck when it ended up hanging from an overpass near Lake Louise.

Fortunately no one was injured and flying debris from the trailer missed a passing freight train.

Big Rig Towing was called to the scene and was able to haul the damaged rig, using it’s seventy five ton rotator, back onto the highway so it could be loaded onto a flat deck and taken back to Calgary.
