Big Rig Towing & Recovery Ltd. is the largest, and ONLY family owned, heavy duty towing and recovery company in Alberta dedicated solely to the transportation industry. Many of our technicians have several years of towing and recovery expertise in the Calgary area, one of which is the company owner.

The company’s fleet consists of: five heavy duty towing and recovery units, two tandem axle units equipped with 35-ton and 50-ton wreckers. In addition, Big Rig Towing & Recovery Ltd. also has the only two tri-drive units in Southern Alberta that can legally and safely tow your tri-drives and other heavy equipment. One of the tri-drives is equipped with a fully hydraulic 50 ton wrecker and the other with a 75-ton sliding rotator. To complement the tow truck fleet we have a fully equipped emergency response unit with air cushion and catch bags, recovery equipment, including safety, traffic control devices and three flag units. All tow trucks are equipped with the most current under reaches for damage free towing. Big Rig Towing & Recovery Ltd. has two tri-drive wreckers specifically designed for roll over and recovery work.

The towing and recovery services provided by Big Rig Towing & Recovery Ltd. encompasses all of North America. We hold operating authorities in all provinces west of Quebec, and all U.S. States west of the Mississippi. No other towing company in Southern Alberta has such an extensive set of operating authorities.

For our customer’s comfort and protection we are fully insured including cargo and garage liability insurance for customer owned vehicles. We will provide proof of insurance upon request.
